(NYSE:APD) signed a definitive agreement to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Tempe based DA NanoMaterials, L.L.C. which develops, manufactures, and supplies colloidal silica sols and particles for semiconductor and wafer polishing markets, from DuPont Electronic Technologies for an undisclosed amount.

3/1/2012 Phoenix based Atlas Sound LP, which designs, manufactures, and markets commercial communications products, acquired A-Line Acoustics for an undisclosed amount.

3/1/2012 Schurz Communications, Incorporated acquired Sun Lakes based Western Broadband, LLC, which provides cable TV, digital phone, HDTV, and high-speed Internet services from Evergreen Pacific Partners.

3/7/2012 Heckmann Corporation (NYSE:HEK) entered into a definitive stock purchase agreement to acquire Scottsdale based Thermo Fluids, Inc., which offers waste recycling and management services, from a group of investors including CIVC Partners and H.I.G. Growth Partners, LLC for approximately $250.0 million in cash and stock.

3/8/2012 Chandler based Microchip Technology Inc. (NasdaqGS:MCHP), which engages in the design, development, manufacture, and market of semiconductor products, acquired IDENT Technology AG from a group of investors for $39.8 million.

3/9/2012 Phoenix based Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC, which owns and operates a network of food retail stores, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Phoenix based Newflower Market Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

3/14/2012  Tempe based LifeLock, Inc., which offers identity theft protection services, acquired ID Analytics, Inc.  LifeLock raised over $100.0 million in a round of funding for the acquisition.

3/16/2012 GlyEco, Inc. (OTCBB:GLYE) a green chemistry company and is based in Phoenix, entered into a binding agreement to acquire all the assets of Full Circle Manufacturing Group, Inc. from Joe Iola for $6.8 million in cash and stock.

3/20/2012 Crown Dynamics Corp. (OTCBB:CDYY) acquired Scottsdale based AirWare Holdings Incorporated, which offers nasal breathing aids, for $54.8 million.

3/22/2012 Hyperion Therapeutics, Inc. acquired for an undisclosed amount, worldwide rights to Ravicti from Scottsdale based Ucyclyd Pharma, Inc., which provides life-saving medications for patients affected with urea cycle disorders.

3/26/2012  Tempe based Avnet Technology Solutions, Inc. a computing solutions company, signed an agreement to acquire Ascendant Technology, LLC for an undisclosed amount.

3/26/2012 Quench USA, Inc. acquired Tempe based Aqua Perfect of Arizona, LLC, which distributes water purification systems, from a group of investors including Southwest Value Acquisitions, LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

3/27/2012 Intelisys Communications, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tempe based Cloud Services Coalition, which offers cloud integration services from Terrapin Solutions, LLC for an undisclosed amount.

3/30/2012  Phoenix based Village Voice Media, LLC, which publishes news weeklies in the US,  agreed to acquire a 16% stake in the company from Goldman Sachs Group. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

3/31/2012 High Ridge Brands Co. acquired global rights to the brand Coast from the Scottsdale based Dial Corporation, which engages in the manufacture and sale of consumer products in the United States.

3/1/2012  Phoenix based Equisight, LLC, which develops a virtual presence technology for horse racing, announced that it has raised a round of funding from new investor Wasabi Ventures.

3/7/2012  Gilbert based Unique Home Designs, Inc., which designs, manufactures, markets, and sells decorative security screen aluminum doors and gates has closed a round of venture funding for $16.5 million.

3/9/2012  Scottsdale based Integrate, LLC, which operates a real-time lead exchange platform announced it has raised $11.0 million from three investors in an equity round of funding.

3/15/2012  Mesa based MD Tech Pro LLC, which provides medical practice IT support solutions and electronic health record services in the US, announced that it has raised $10.0 million in a seed round of funding from new investor Franchise Growth Group.

3/28/2012  Phoenix based ClearDATA Networks, Inc. which provides on-demand storage management and image archiving for healthcare organizations, announced that it has raised funding from new investor Norwest Venture Partners.
