1/4/2011 NPD Group, Inc. agreed to acquire Cahners In-Stat Group.  The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.  In-Stat provides market intelligence solutions that combine technical, market, and end-user research and database models to analyze the mobile Internet and digital entertainment ecosystems.  The company is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

1/4/2011 AbleNet, Inc. acquired Keys-U-See Large Print Keyboard product line from Genesis Worldwide Enterprises, Inc.  Genesis Worldwide operates as a sourcing, supply, and marketing company in North America and Europe, and is based in Cottonwood, Arizona.

1/4/2011 Applied Computer Solutions, Inc. acquired ProSys Information Systems, Inc. from Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT).  The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.  Avnet distributes electronic components, enterprise computer and storage products, and embedded subsystems worldwide and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

1/7/2011 First Solar, Inc. (NasdaqGS: FSLR) acquired RayTracker, Inc. from Idealab and others investors.  The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.  First Solar designs, manufactures, and sells solar electric power modules using a proprietary thin film semiconductor technology and is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.

1/10/2011 Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX) acquired VasoNova, Inc. for approximately $55 million from Research Corporation Technologies and other investors.  Research Corporation is a technology investment and management company that provides early-stage funding and development for promising biomedical companies and technologies, and is located in Tuscon, Arizona.

1/25/2011 MedAire, Inc. acquired Service Medical International from Alto Invest.  The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.  MedAire provides remote medical and security services for aviation, maritime, and travel markets in the United States and internationally.  The company is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.

1/27/2011 ON Semiconductor Corp. (NasdaqGS: ONNN) signed a definitive agreement to acquire the CMOS Image Sensor Business Unit from Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NasdaqGS: CY) for $31.4 million in cash.  ON Semiconductor offers semiconductors and integrated circuits and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

1/27/2011 Amtech Systems Inc. (NasdaqGS: ASYS) signed a stock purchase and sale agreement to acquire a stake in Kingstone Technology Hong Kong Limited from Silicon Jade Limited for $5.5 million in cash and stock.  Amtech engages in the design, assembly, sale, and installation of capital equipment and related consumables used in the manufacture of wafers, primarily for the solar and semiconductor industries, and is based in Tempe, Arizona.
